The Two Guys: Matt and Andrew
These guys have been best buds since they started hanging out one summer when they were about 8 years old. Since they’re both now 30+ means they have been friends over 20 years!
It was almost ironic that these guys were friends really. They never attended the same school. Matt was into Boy Scouts, football and comic books. Andrew was busy with drumming, soccer and even dancing for a while. But weekends, school breaks and summers brought years of bike rides, movies and all that typical best friend stuff. In reality it was the differences that probably made the friendship that much better! Getting together meant enjoying the things that both liked and talking about the other stuff going on apart from each other.
The first time the Two Guys ever worked together was in 2003. Andrew was working for a custom web solutions company and some contract work opportunities opened and Matt was brought on board. Later that year Andrew got a chance to move to California for some drumming stuff. Matt was on the heels of possibly moving to Kentucky for a business venture, but decided California sounded like more fun. The Two Guys packed up a big yellow moving truck and drove cross-country from Chicago to California in January 2004.
When some telecommuting work fizzled out, the time came to get regular jobs to keep the weekly paychecks coming and bills paid – all while still having time to enjoy exploring Southern California. Once things were more stable the guys started doing some tag-team web production under the moniker 2guyswitha.com. With a few projects completed, this set things in motion for the guys to eventually have their dream of their own business!
After a number of random paycheck jobs, both guys ended up working for a company in the real estate website business. Andrew handled New Accounts working on intake and launches, Matt was on the search engine marketing team. About a year later, some opportunities found both guys changing over to a different type of company in the real estate internet marketing business – again working as a successful team!
Working stuff taking a temporary backseat to his budding new family, Matt moved back to Chicago in the summer of 2006. Leveraging online tools to collaborate, the guys continued to bounce ideas off of one another for future project and business ideas. Wrapping up his interests in SoCal, Andrew was able to move back to Chicago in the fall of 2009. Now the guys are back at it again … as reactionCONTROL!
The Two Guys have a casual-but-professional approach – putting the fun in functional web design, development and marketing. They are a time-tested team and bring years of experience to work for clients in order to provide top quality web solutions and services.
